Day 1: Saigon Arrival (D)

Welcome to Saigon, Vietnam’s largest and most dynamic city. Your driver and guide will pick you up and transfer you to the city center. After a short break, explore Saigon’s historic landmarks, including Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office designed by Gustave Eiffel, and the former Presidential Palace. End the day with a welcome dinner cruise on the Saigon River.

Day 2: Saigon - Mekong Delta - Saigon (B, L)

Depart for the Mekong Delta and visit the vibrant Cai Be floating market. Cruise through the delta’s waterways, passing boats filled with fresh fruits and vegetables. Stop at local home factories to see traditional rice paste making, rice popcorn, and coconut candy production. After lunch at a historic local house, take a rowboat ride through scenic canals. Enjoy the peaceful countryside before returning to Saigon in the late afternoon.

Day 3: Saigon - Fly to Danang - Hoi An

Catch a morning flight to Danang. Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to Hoi An, stopping at the Cham Museum and Marble Mountain along the way. Take a walking tour of Hoi An’s ancient town, visiting merchants’ houses, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, a Chinese communal hall, and the bustling market.

Day 4: Hoi An - Cycling to Tra Que Village (B, L)

Cycle to Tra Que, a renowned vegetable village in Hoi An. Walk through the gardens, then join local farmers in preparing the land and fertilizing it with seaweed from the nearby lake. Participate in gardening activities such as raking, sowing, watering, and harvesting. Afterward, enjoy a foot bath before preparing lunch with a local family, featuring specialties like Tam Huu spring rolls and Banh Xeo pancakes. Rest after lunch before learning how to harvest and wrap vegetables. Return to your hotel in the afternoon.

Day 5: Hoi An - Danang - Fly to Hanoi (B)

Fly to Hanoi. In the afternoon, take a walking tour through the Old Quarter, visit Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple, and watch a traditional water puppet show, an art form originating in the Red River Delta in the 10th century.

Day 6: Hanoi City Tour - Drive to Halong Bay (B)

Spend the morning touring Hanoi’s key sites, including the Ho Chi Minh Complex with the mausoleum, stilt house, and Presidential Palace. Visit the One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university. After lunch, embark on a 3.5-hour drive to Halong Bay. Check into your hotel and enjoy free time to explore the city.

Day 7: Halong Bay - Hanoi (B, L)

Board a private traditional junk boat for a four-hour cruise through Halong Bay, stopping at a limestone cave along the way. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch while admiring the stunning scenery. After the cruise, return to Hanoi.
